Online Video – The Procedure/ Pricing

Procedure for the production of an online video (up to two minutes duration).

There are two options – the Premium Shoot and Edit or the Standard Shoot and Edit for those on a more limited budget who require a short, simple video. Please enquire for details if your requirements do not fit into either category.

A. Premium Shoot and Edit.

Stage 1: Planning/Preparation – Maximum 1½ hours

 It would be helpful if prior to this discussion you had a basic plan of what you would like produced and an outline script prepared.

We will cover:

  • what you want to achieve from your online video, i.e. its purpose;
  • your target audience;
  • the type of shots you require and in which locations;
  • what narrative, if any, you wish to add;
  • the preparation and style (serious, funny, etc.) of the script;
  • whether to include any photography;
  • the file format of the final video;
  • whether you require a separate version for a DVD player;
  • whether you require a version for shop counter or window display.

Please note that if more than one file format is required there will be a further charge of £30 per additional format. Each additional format will be supplied on a separate CD/DVD.

Stage 2: Filming – Maximum 2 hours

This will normally be on the client’s premises unless other arrangements have been agreed.

Stage 3: Uploading to Computer and Editing – Maximum 6 hours

The video will be uploaded to a computer and edited according to your requirements. When completed, you will be sent a link to the draft version for approval. We will then discuss any small changes that need to be made, if any.

Stage 4: Final Adjustments/CD or DVD production – Maximum 3 hours

The video will be amended once, if necessary, and your approval will be requested. Once approved, it will then be saved in the agreed format/s and uploaded to YouTube if desired. If a CD or DVD is required, it will be labelled and supplied in a presentation case with a sleeve insert. Extra copies can be provided for an additional charge. Please ask for details.
